The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment building on the 2900 block of Warwick Loop that started 10 a.m. Sunday.
Three of the units in the building were damaged, the second and third-floor units received significant damage, while the first floor was only slightly damaged.
There was heavy fire through the roof of the building and a total of seven fire trucks responded to the fire and were successfully able to put it out in about 45 minutes.
All of the residents are safe and there are no injuries. The five people in the apartment that caught fire self-evacuated, and seven people total were displaced.
“We’re starting a fire investigation at this time,” said Bismarck Deputy Fire Chief Brooks Martin, “We will be completing that this afternoon and seeing if we can find the cause of the fire.”
Seven fire trucks responded to the scene and 22 firefighters helped extinguish the flames.
This is a developing story and we will provide updates as they come in.
