Minot police are investigating a burglary that happened overnight on Wednesday at Knowles Jewelry.
Police say they have two suspects, pictured below, who took an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
The two suspects were seen on video surveillance shattering the store’s front window and stealing jewelry.
Knowles Jewelry co-owner Landon Bahl says their customer’s personal jewelry was locked away in a cement vault and was untouched.
“I think a lot of times, definitely in small communities, you do hear of situations like this happening and you try and prepare for them, however, you don’t think you’ll be the victim of one so it was definitely alarming,” said Bahl.
Bahl says the store is indefinitely closed until they can repair broken jewelry boxes and replace the stolen jewelry. He estimates the closure will be at least half a month.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Minot Police Department at 701-852-0111. Police say callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
