Sioux County Sheriff Frank Landeis retired last week after over 27 years of service.

Landeis is a longtime resident of Sioux County and started his career as a deputy and eventually made his way to sheriff in 1995.

Lucy Harrison, the Sioux County auditor, says Landeis was the longest sitting sheriff in North Dakota and his hard work and personality will be missed.
