Truck drives into Minot home, man taken into custody

A 44-year-old Minot man was taken into custody, according to Capt. Justin Sundheim with the Minot Police Department.

Police say the man drove into the home in southwest Minot around 1:13 p.m. after he failed to negotiate a turn. He caused “considerable damage” to the home.

The man suffered minor injuries, was treated on scene and then arrested for reckless driving. He was released with a pending court date.

Minot police responded to a report of a truck driving into a house on Thursday afternoon.

The truck ran into a home on the corner of 4th Street SW and 19th Avenue SW.

No one was home at the time of the crash and no injuries have been reported.

At this time, we’re unsure if the driver is in custody. An officer says they couldn’t comment any further as this is an ongoing investigation.
