Traffic can happen because of construction or rush hour —- but today cars were stepping on the breaks when they noticed one Quonset and one pole barn.

Both buildings are 28 feet high and 40 feet wide.

The two buildings were affected during the 2011 flood and the city bought it.

Now it was time to put it to good use, so with the help of many, they were able to transport both objects to Public Works.

One of them will be used for traffic storage and the other will be used for water maintenance.

“You’re dealing with shutting down a lot of traffic and trying to keep it moving as smooth as possible and trying not to affect the flow of traffic anymore than you really have to.” said Kevin Huwe, Huwe House Mover President.

The whole trip took about three and half hours.
