The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for portions of eastern North Dakota due to snow and slush covered roads creating icy road conditions.

The alert means that people can still travel, but they should reduce speeds and pay attention to potential rapidly changing conditions.

Cities included in the travel alert are Valley City, Cooperstown, Edgeley and surrounding areas.

Road reports show that more difficult travel conditions begin near Medina, N.D.
