Two Smoking Bills Fail in ND House

News

Today in the North Dakota House.

Lawmakers defeated two bills relating to tobacco.

The first would’ve raised the legal age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 19.

That failed 25 to 63.

The other would’ve made it illegal to smoke in your vehicle while children are present.

That gained a little more support but ultimately failed with a 31 to 57 vote.
