A truck fire has closed down the Westbound lane of I-94 from Taylor to Gladstone.
Around 3 p.m. Mountain time a semi truck with two trailers, carrying about 50 bales of hay, caught on fire on the Westbound side on I-94.
The driver of the rig and others passing by called the incident in to local Stark County law enforcement.
Gladstone and Taylor Fire Departments immediately responded to the scene.
Both trailers and the hay were destroyed in the fire.
No one has been reported injured.
“The driver is good. Everything is good. He did get his tractor off the trailer load, so he didn’t burn up the semi. It would of been a complete loss for him.He was able to take care of that, so things turned out well for him considering,” said Joe Wanner, Fire Chief for Gladstone Fire Department.
Wanner expects the Westbound lanes to be back open soon for drivers, and the cause of the fire is still to be determined.
