UPDATE: Highway 58 is now back open after a the Minot Bomb squad was called to inspect a suspicious package.
The package was destroyed in a controlled detonation around 10 p.m Wednesday night.
Around 4:30 p.m., a McKenzie County Sheriffs deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of MM 1 Hwy 58 in Fairview North Dakota.
A suspicious device was found inside.
Authorities say the driver was arrested for numerous violations.
