Update 4:41 p.m:
Crews didn’t begin working on the broken lines until this afternoon.
As water becomes available to different parts of town, the City is requesting residents conserve water until all residents have it available.
“Due to the water main break in Sawyer all the business places are closed and a boil order is in effect and will remain in effect until they get a clear test back from First District Health after that then the boil order will be lifted,” said Ward County Emergency Management official Larry Haug.
Updates will be posted to the City’s Facebook page, as well as right here on KX.
School is out in Sawyer as residents wait for a water main break to be repaired.
The City of Sawyer says the break was discovered sometime Wednesday night.
It’s affecting the entire city’s water supply.
Sawyer Public School canceled classes as a result — school officials say they hope to be back in session on time tomorrow.
We’ll have more on the status of the water main break tonight on KX News.
