Valentine’s Day is already less than a month away. To celebrate, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 26 and local volunteers spent the afternoon crafting Valentine’s Day cards for veterans, filling them with messages of cheer and thankfulness. They have done this for the past decade, and last year delivered more than 700 cards to local veterans.
“I like that we get to use our creativity and we get to express how we feel through the cards and show that we actually care for the veterans and that we are giving back because they do a lot for us,” says Cassidy Beuchler, Valentine’s Day card maker with Central Campus Spanish Club.
If you want to help, you can drop off your own Valentine’s cards at the American Legion Post 26 through the end of the month.
