Pepperidge Farm is recalling four varieties of of its Goldfish brand crackers due to concerns over possible salmonella contamination in one of the ingredients.
A whey powder used in the seasoning and supplied by an outside manufacturer had earlier been the subject of a recall by the manufacturer.
To be on the safe side, Pepperidge Farm decided to voluntarily recall four of its products that used the powder and were distributed nationwide.
The recalled Goldfish products are:
- Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar
- Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion
- Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
- Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel
No illnesses have been reported. No other Pepperidge Farm products in the U.S. are subject to the recall.
