Veterans Receive Resources

Soldiers serve our country for years at a time.

When they get back, it can be hard for them to know where to start.

The North Central Veterans Stand Down makes the transition easier for our veterans.

Our soldiers learn what benefits are offered, what programs they can join, and what jobs are available.

Andy Heitkamp, a veterans service director, says that returning home can be a lot more difficult than many of us imagine.

That’s why he says we need to be there for our veterans and help those who helped us keep our freedom.

“It’s an opportunity for them to get back and get in touch with those services and be aware of the things that they’re entitled to basically from their service to our country.” said Andy Heitkamp, Veterans Service Director at MSU.

There were over 40 service booths represented locally, regionally, and nationally for veterans.
