A local school has transformed into a carnival for the weekend.

Students, parents, and community members have come together to put on the annual Bishop Ryan Carnival. Families had the opportunity to play midway games and eat classic fair food like funnel cakes. McKenna Beeter has volunteered her time in the weeks leading up to the event by helping out wherever she can. She has spent most of her time setting up and helping run the Little Italy booth by making Italian sodas and hot chocolates for customers.

“My favorite part about this event is seeing the community come in and being able to have something to do on the weekend, instead of having to stay at home with lots of little ones,” says McKenna Beeter, Senior at Bishop Ryan.

The carnival runs through tomorrow, beginning with a pancake breakfast at nine and ending with a raffle drawing at three.
