Volunteers Keep Santa Tracker NORAD Up and Running Despite Shutdown

News

Despite the partial government shutdown, the North American Aerospace Defense Command or NORAD is still working hard tracking Santa for all the good kids out there.

Children from around the world can track Santa and his reindeer thanks to 1,500 civilian and military volunteers that are manning the phones for kids calling in for updates.

Last year, NORAD received more than 154,000 phone calls.

Families can also track Santa online and on Facebook and Twitter
