Want to go to U-Mary? Get in line.

The University of Mary will use a waiting list for freshman admission to the school, a first for the institution.

U-Mary is expecting a record incoming class of over 500 freshman. That’s a 20 percent increase from 2017.

Despite the waiting list, the school stresses students should still apply.

Director of Undergraduate Admissions Richard Hinton says there are a few spots left for the 2018 incoming freshman class, but those will be filled within the next few weeks.

Applications that come in after June 1st will likely be placed on the waiting list.
