Green Party Presidential candidate Jill Stein has been charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief by the Morton County State’s Attorney’s office.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Stein spray painted the blade of a bulldozer at a protest site Tuesday morning with the words “I approve this message.”

A press release from Morton County claims Stein and Vice-Presidential candidate Ajamu Baraka entered posted private property Tuesday.

Barka is also charged with the same crimes. Authorities say he spray painted the front of a bulldozer with word “decolonization.”

The Morton County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating other unlawful activity from the Tuesday protest.

Protesters climbed on top of equipment and spray painted words like “water is life” and “no DAPL” on it.
Two people attached themselves to heavy equipment.
Law enforcement kept its distance from the protest and did not try to remove either person from the equipment.
A Morton County spokesperson says they believe Stein and Baraka are still in the area. They will try to locate them and bring them in just like anyone else.
