It’s been a “quiet” morning so far with many temperatures fluctuating around the mid to upper 20s. A few light snow showers in the north will give only a light dusting of accumulation. Wind will increase today to around 15 to 25 mph gusting to 30 mph. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the southwest until 1am cst due to the blowing snow concern and reduced visibility.
Tonight, strong westerly wind will persist and in some areas will strengthen. Lows dip to the teens under a partly cloudy sky. Thursday, expect a decrease in wind from west to east. Highs return to the 20s with a mostly sunny sky.
Friday, highs in the mid 20s to lower 30s. Wind kicks up a bit for a breezy afternoon and overnight. Temperatures will fall this weekend back to mostly teens for highs. A big cool down is on the way for next week. Arctic air will bring highs only in the single digits with a few areas not even seeing positive numbers! A chance for snow in the south Monday. Right now, little accumulation.
