Temperatures are on the upswing today as we rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s. A deck of Stratus clouds is moving slowing from south to north this morning. If you’re under cloudy skies, no need to worry – I anticipate this area of clouds to thin out and what is left to move on. High pressure will give us sunny skies this afternoon with southerly winds that may get a bit breezy in the south later on.
Tonight, how about warmer lows? We only cool into the 50s for most places which will be a warm welcome considering that last few nights have held either a Frost Advisory or Freeze Warning for the north. Low pressure will move in from the south slowly increasing our clouds overnight into tomorrow morning. Rain chances are also plentiful tomorrow with an accumulation of around a quarter of an inch to an inch of rain expected. Highs will undoubtedly be cooler tomorrow and only in the 60s.
Rain chances taper Friday and the highs return to the upper 60s and lower 70s. A warm and sunny weekend is in store for the viewing area. Expect highs to return to the mid 70s to lower 80s!
