Wednesday’s PM Forecast Update 5/17

From the KX Storm Center:
Today it has been cloudy and windy with a few isolated showers South & SE. Temperatures are well below average for this time of the year and they will cool down a little more. During the next few nights, lows will be in the lower to mid 30s with winds calming down some tonight. It will still be breezy at times. 
A Frost Advisory has been issued and will be in effect between 1am & 9am CDT. This means that widespread frost with possible freezing conditions will be hazardous to sensitive vegetation. If you can, bring planters/small plants/herbs in tonight & tomorrow night. Also, take a moment to prepare any outdoor pets for near freezing temps, too. 
Unseasonably cool temps will continue and it will be a breezy through the end of the work week. Thursday & Friday will bring more sunshine. This weekend, temps will climb through the 60s and to either side of 70 with even more changes. Rain chances return Friday night & Saturday. Sunday, highs will be near average and into the 70s for some. Long-range models are pointing to another round of rain chances with the beginning of the work week. 

Tonight, partly cloudy with continued clearing and chilly With a frost advisory in effect until 8am CDT. Lows in the 30s and near freezing for many, with a North/NE wind 10-20mph & calming for some. 
Thursday will bring continued clearing, leading to plenty of sunshine. Highs in the 50s & 60s and a N/NE wind 10-20mph.
Thursday night, mostly clear and chilly with another round of patchy AM frost possible. Lows in the 30s and near freezing with a light to moderate NE wind, 5-15mph.
Friday will be sunny with increasing clouds late. Highs on either side of 60 and a little warmer for some with an East wind 5-15mph.
Friday night, not as cool with increasing clouds and rain chances after Midnight. Lows in the 30s & 40s with a SE/North wind 2-12mph.
