Wednesday’s Weather Update 10/19

The latest Forecast from the KX News Dakota Storm Center.

A high pressure system is in the area and for much of the central part of the country. It is going to remain in the area for the remainder of the work week and then slowly move out. This is allowing mainly sunny skies with a few clouds and temperatures more seasonable or close to average for much of the area. As of now, rain chances remain very minimal for the next seven days, although chances are not ruled out as the models are constantly changing. Winds are also expected to be on the lighter side as no major low pressure systems will be coming through the area. A mild warm front will come through the state on Friday, bumping temperatures up into the mid to lower 60s, slightly above average. Temperatures will then bump back down into the 50s by the early part of next week. The low temperatures will mainly be on either side of 40 degrees for much of the forecast, with lows being slightly above average. The forecast is calm, cool, and comfortable.
Tonight, lows to be close to average in the lower to mid 30s with partly cloudy skies and winds from the north and then shifting south at 1-8 mph.
Thursday, the morning will have few clouds and then increasing through the course of the day. Highs in the mid 50s with a south wind shifting southeast at 1-8 mph.
Thursday night, partly cloudy skies with a light and variable wind from the south and then shifting southeast. Overnight lows to be on either side of 40 degrees.
Friday, daytime highs in the lower to mid 60s with partly cloudy skies to start and then a gradual clearing through the day.  Winds from the south, then shifting west at 5-15 mph.
Friday night, lows on either side of 40 degrees with clear skies likely and a light and variable wind.
