KX News followed the court battle between the Ward County Historical Society and the State Fair.
The judge favored the State Fair – forcing the Historical Society to take their buildings elsewhere.
An individual with the Makoti Threshing Association is giving them an offer.
Hunter Andes says that he would like to see the Historical Society move onto the Makoti Threshing Show grounds permanently.
He believes that by having the Historical Society and the Makoti Threshing Show in one spot – it would draw in more visitors and benefit both parties.
“I want to preserve history and I’m looking 100 years from now. How is this stuff going to be around 100 years from now,” said Hunter Andes, Makoti Threshing Association Board of Directors Member.
The Historical Society will hear this proposal at their board meeting tonight and consider all their options for moving.
