The Secretary of State race will look much different in November than on this June primary.

Voters had the chance to decide between these three candidates for Secretary of State.
Democrat – Josh Boschee, libertarian Roland Riemers and Republican Will Gardner.

Regardless of the primary results…Will Gardner, won’t be on the November Ballot.
You’ll remember, he was endorsed by his party during their nominating convention in April.
But after news broke and a court report was revealed that he was arrested in the late 2000’s for peeping in windows on a college campus he dropped out.

Instead we are told current Secretary of State Al Jaeger will be working towards getting his name on the ballot this November.
He has to collect one thousand signatures first and will be listed as an Independent on the ballot.

As of late Tuesday night, Will Gardner had more than 49,000 votes on the primary ballots. He was the only Republican on the ballot.

Democrat Josh Boschee received more than 31,000 votes and Libertarian Roland Riemers had just under 250 votes.

Boschee and Riemers will be on the November ballot, Gardner will not.

If current Secretary of State Al Jaeger does indeed get his name on the ballot, he will be considered an Independant.
