Thanks to a couple of service organizations, and a whole lot of volunteers, Williston’s Davidson Park has a new pavilion.

The community project began about a year ago as a partnership between the Williston Rotary and the Lions Clubs. It was the first time the two organizations teamed up for a project of this scale. The new pavilion has eight picnic tables. Club members hope it will increase the quality of life for Williston residents.

“We wanted to do something for the community. Get our name out there and leave something for our generations. For the kids to come, something they could come and see that we did something good,” says Ken Callahan, Williston Rotary project coordinator.

The work isn’t over just yet. Phase 2 of the project will now begin. That includes placing new roofs on the two existing pavilions in Davidson Park. To make a donation or sponsor the project, contact the Williston Rotary at 701-770-5030.
