A group of local North Dakota vendors are proving farmer’s markets can be for every season.
The Winter’s Market in Mandan offers people the chance to buy local handmade baked goods,
jams, and coffees, all in the comfort of the great indoors.
Between four and eight vendors showed up to show off their homemade items.
This local baker says it’s a chance each month to get to sample some of the best homemade treats in the area.
“It’s just a way to keep the farmer’s market people coming back so they don’t forget about us. But, it is something to do in the winter time, and each of my customers today have probably stayed for 30 or 45 minutes cause we’re just so much fun,” Sue Balcom, Winter Market vendor says.
The Winter’s Market is open the first Saturday of every month at the Heritage Plaza in Mandan.
