According to AAA, worn out tire treads could put you at an even higher risk of getting into an accident, you’re even more at risk during wet conditions.
When you put the them in a side by side test the vehicle with newer tires will make a complete stop better than your worn out tires.
Testing to see if you need new tires is quite simple all you need is a penny.
“They may look good but they’re just like you and I their aging, If you take a penny and shove it in and you can see Lincoln’s head– complete head it’s time to pull them off, that’s an easy cheap way,” said Tim Axtman manager at Northwest Tire in Minot.
He adds that you can also stop by any tire shop where most of the time they’ll do it for free.
