Hero’s are all around us and we may not even know it.

The YWCA in Minot hosted the Women of Distinction Banquet — recognizing many of the communities female hero’s.

For the last 25 years, the YWCA has honored women.

The banquet hands out twenty awards as a small token for all the hard work the women do for the community.

The YWCA’s mission statement is to eliminate racism and empower women.

Executive Director, Lauren Moore(More) says that they are honoring doctors, stay at home moms, teachers, and more.

“These women are all kinds of occupations, they do different things in the community so we just want to make sure we recognize these women for each one of these particular areas in their life. It’s inspiring for me to be in a room with so many amazing women.” said Lauren Moore, YWCA Executive Director.

Women of Distinction honors women in their communities nationwide.
