Zenker running for Bismarck City Commission

Another candidate has announced he is running for Bismarck city office.

Greg Zenker is running for one of two open city commission seats.

Zenker, a Bismarck native, is a commercial manager for Northern Plains Heating and Air.

He listed out his main priorities if elected.

Those are tearing down barriers, working with every entity across the community, and protecting the taxpayers.

“Every decision that the city commission makes absolutely has to have the best interest of the tax payer at heart. We have to take care of our finances. We have to plan to be a long-term city that everybody wants to come to,” said Greg Zenker, city commission candidate.

Earlier this week, another announcement for city commission was made.

Current commissioner Nancy Guy will run for re-election.

On her Facebook she said, “I’m pleased with the work we’ve done during the last four years to make Bismarck an even better place for families, seniors, young professionals, and businesses. Being a good steward of the taxpayer’s hard earned dollar has been one of my highest priorities.”

“While I am happy with the progress we’ve made, I’m also determined to do more to ensure our progress is permanent. That is why I am seeking re-election,” she added.
