The Bismarck Bobcats are ready for the 2018-2019 season to begin.
After three weeks of training camp, the team left yesterday for the Blaine, Minn., he site of the NAHL showcase.
Last year, the Bobcats went 24-30-4-2 and finished eight points out of fourth place to missed the playoffs for the second straight year.
This season, there are a lot of new faces that bring a lot of great qualities.
“I think we have a lot of speed and lot of skills,” goalie Johnny Roberts said. “I think we have a lot young guys but what they bring is new young skill and just real fast guys. So I think we’ll be able to move the puck well and put the puck in the back of the net.”
Bismarck opened the season today with a 4-2 win over the Kenai River Brown Bears
