The Bismarck Bucks announced on their Facebook page Friday that they are joining the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the 2019 season. The franchise also announced the hiring of a new general manager and head coach.

The IFL debuted in 2008 and is currently the second-highest tier of arena football in the United States. Six teams competed in the league during the 2018 season.

As for the personnel moves, Rod Miller has replaced Paco Martinez as the Bucks’ head coach. Miller was most recently the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for the Omaha Beef. Miller has previous stints as a head coach in the China Arena Football League, as well as an assistant coach with teams like the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League.

Additionally, Heidi Ripplinger has been named the new General Manager and Director of Sponsorship Services. According to her LinkedIn profile, Ripplinger has served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Greater North Dakota Chamber for the past three years.
