For the second straight year, the Bismarck Bucks are headed back to the playoffs.
The Bucks accomplished the feat after last week’s road overtime win over the Omaha Beef. The win presented the team with an interesting scenario, because with the Dallas Marshals’ dismissal from the league, the playoff format is different.
The Bucks essentially have the option to rest players ahead of next week or try to increase their playoff seeding by a spot or two. Regardless of the team’s strategy for their regular season finale, the team is happy to know they’ll be playing playoff football.
“[We’re] Really excited. We should’ve been the No. 1 seed but you know how things worked out,” running back Zavier Steward said. “But we are in it and we are a different team now. We are going to come out and show who we are.”
The Bucks’ regular season finale is at Sioux City on Saturday night.
