Bismarck Larks improving after shaky second half start

National Sports

The Bismarck Larks are starting to play like the team that won the first half of the North Division.

The Larks haven taken the first two games in a four-game series with the Thunder Bay Border Cats.

However, before those wins, Bismarck lost their first six games to open the second half of the season.

The Larks know when they are not hitting well, the pitching has to step up and vice versa.

“There has been times when maybe our pitching hasn’t been there,” Sean Repay said, “but our offense has been there to pick it up. That’s the make of a good baseball club. You’re not going to have everything everyday, but the best part is that when we are missing one facet, the other two are there to pick it up.”

The Larks play at Thunder Bay tonight a 7:05 p.m.
