Bobcats swept at home, Tauros win to cushion lead on fourth place

National Sports

The Minot Minotauros now have a four-point cushion on fourth place in the Central Division.

Miroslav Mucha notched his 30th goal of the season to help the Tauros take down the Austin Bruins 2-1 on Saturday.

The Bobcats needed a win to keep pace, but the Minnesota Wilderness’s offense was too strong. The Bobcats fell behind 2-0 early and could not recover. The final score was 6-2.

Before the Bobcats’ game, as part of the Brave the Shave initiative, head coach Layne Sedevie and players Mitch Walinski and Jake Olson shaved their heads to show support for the fight against pediatric cancer.

The Tauros play at Aberdeen next weekend, while the Bobcats are off until March 30.
