The Bismarck Bobcats had their NAHL Draft today, and unlike most years, they only had two draft picks.
The reason the Bobcats only had two picks is that they protected 18 of 31 players on their roster, and tendered 11 others.
With their first pick in the draft, Bismarck selected Ryan Ullan, who should be a familiar name as he was on the team for the 2017-2018 season. With their second pick Bismarck selected Dominic Canic
“The draft is also an area where you can find impact players,” assistant coach Garret Roth said, “but you’re kind of rounding out your roster at that point. Filling holes and filling needs that through returning players and tendered players you feel that there’s a need.”
The Bismarck Bobcats will hold main camp on July 12-14 at Wachter Arena
