Century boys’ cross country is looking for a third-straight state title this weekend in Jamestown.
The defending Class A champs took third at WDA regionals. The team has not placed first in an event since the Rusty Bucket to kick off the 2018 season.
Century’s top runner Austin Wald says defending their state title is a tall challenge
“There’s a lot of skilled teams that have a lot of young runners who’ve shown they put in the time and effort over the summer to get better,” Austin Wald said. “It’ll for sure be a harder one to capture. We’re a young team but we’re ready to go to work, and hopefully we can get five runners to do what they need to do on Saturday.”
The Class A Boys state meet begins at 2:45 in Jamestown.
