Arguably, the West Region’s best shot at winning the Class A Golf state championship resides with the Century Patriots.
The Patriots have 25 players on the roster and 13 of those golfers are seniors.
The team hopes that experience comes in handy as the boys have had a shortened season because of weather.
Over the weekend, Century played its first tournament at the East-West Classic and took fifth place, which was the highest finish by any WDA team, but they hope to being playing their best golf at the end of May.
When it comes to WDA,” Jackson Ward said, “[I] hope that our team can do really good job and hopefully win that and hopefully move on to state and hopefully our gain isn in tip-top shape and we can end up winning state as well.”
On May 4 at 10 a.m., Century plays its second tournament of the year: the St. Mary’s Invite.
