Boys HS Soccer: Mandan makes consecutive postseason trips for the first time in school history

National Sports

In boys high school soccer, for the first time in school history, Mandan is making consecutive trips to the state tournament.

The Braves will be the No. 4 seed out of the West. Mandan feels this has been their most successful season since 1997 with records set in wins, goals scored and fewest goals allowed.

While those are all great, the Braves reward is drawing the No. 1 seed from the East and last year’s state runners-up, Fargo Davies.

“All the pressure is on them,” senior midfielder Ian Dahners said. “We just have to relax and confident. Our team is a capable of winning. We just need to be smart and focus on what we do instead of focusing on them.”

Mandan and Fargo Davies will kick off the State Soccer Tournament at noon on Thursday
