The Legacy boys’ track and field team is ready to defend their state title.
Last year, the boys claimed the first ever state championship in the sport, but the defending Class A state champions have already put their success behind them.
Legacy lost a lot of talented seniors, including some Division I prospects, but the outlook is not bleak and the guys are encouraged.
“It’s a new season,” Beau Brannan said. “We’re just rebuilding. We have a lot of young, talented sprinters, and our distance group is really strong, so we’re just going to take it one meet at a time.”
The Legacy boys are looking to go back-to-back with state titles, like Century did 2015 and 2016.
