Boys HSBB: Kidder County working on the little things to win close games

National Sports

The past week was busy for the Kidder County boys basketball team, due to playing three games in as many days at the Stutsman County Tournament.

The Wolves split their first two tournament games before capping off their weekend with a 43-42 win over Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter.

Kidder County is now 5-4 on the season, and senior Ty Hanson says the team is looking to find more offensive weapons to take the pressure off scoring leader Austin Schmidt.

“We all need to become better shots so teams don’t focus on him as much,” Hanson said, “because he’s a really good outside shooter and inside shooter.”

The Wolves are in action tomorrow night against Strasburg-Zeeland.
