Last season, the St. Mary’s boys basketball team was one win away from pulling off a minor miracle.
The guys upset Dickinson in the first round of the WDA tournament, before losing their next two games against Century and Bismarck.
This season, St. Mary’s returns five seniors, three of which were starters.
These seniors remember those three games in the West Region tournament well.
“I think that feeling is really going to help us this season,” Hudson Bradley said. “We don’t want to be one win away again. We want to make sure that we punch our ticket [to the state tournament]. I think it’s going to help us in practice to keep us motivated. We really want to get back there.”
On Dec. 2, the Saints travel to West Fargo to play Sheyenne.
