In high school basketball, the last night of the regular season in the WDA saw the Century girls complete an undefeated regular season and St. Mary’s closed out their current gym with a sweep of Dickinson on Feb. 19.
Century improved to 21-0 with a 40-point blowout of Minot, 79-39. The Pats will enter next week’s WDA tournament as the No. 1 seed. On the boys’ side, Century lost their second straight game. The Patriots lost in Minot, 71-63.
St. Mary’s closed out their current gym with two wins. Next season, the Saints will open a new gym as they also open a new school on the north side of town. The girls came from behind to defeat Dickinson, 56-42. The boys completed the sweep with a 57-49 win.
In the biggest shocker of the night, Bismarck High girls defeated Legacy. The Demons led by 10 at one point in the second half, as Bismarck went on the road to defeat Legacy, 50-44. On the boys’ side, Bismarck High locked up the No. 2 seed for the West Region tournament with a 56-46 win.
