Class A Boys State: Century falls in semis, Legacy wins first ever state tournament game

The Century boys basketball team fell short in the Class A boys semifinals, while Legacy earned their first state tournament game in school history on Day 2 of the Class A Boys State Tournament on Mar. 8.

In the championship bracket, Century looked to qualify for their fourth state title game in five years. However, a missed three-point field goal at the buzzer that would have tied the game at 55. Century fell to Jamestown, 55-52.

Jamestown will face Fargo Davies for the Class A boys state championship, after their 73-54 win over Grand Forks Red River. The championship will tip at 8 p.m.

Legacy achieved their first-ever state tournament win. The Sabers came back from an 11-point deficit to knock off Mandan in the consolation bracket, 57-53.

In the other consolation game, West Fargo defeated Wahpeton, 70-45.
