The Bismarck boys basketball team shot the lights out in its 76-64 win over fellow top-five opponent Mandan.
The Demons went 12-25 from three-point distance, with guard Joe Jahner going 6-12 from downtown. He led BHS with 18 points, and fellow guard Ian Schafer added 15 points.
Senior Trae Steckler paced Mandan with 22 points on 50 percent shooting.
The win keeps Bismarck undefeated in conference play and hands Mandan its first loss of the season.
The stat of the Night: The Demons won the game without attempting a free throw.
In the girls game, which came earlier in the evening, the Mandan Braves earned a 70-49 victory over BHS to improve to 7-3 on the season.
Mandan guard Kennedy Harris scored her 1,000th career point as part of the win.
Elsewhere in the West, Century earned a sweep over Dickinson. The boys team won 76-68, while the girls team won 87-37.
