Class A Softball: Century earns share of WDA regular season title

National Sports

In high school softball, Century swept Watford City on May 16 at Legacy High School.

Century only led 2-0 after two innings. However, in the top of the third, Century’s offense exploded for 14 runs. Century won Game 1, 16-0. In the second game, Century also won, 13-3.

The sweep means Century will split the regular season championship with Bismarck High. Both teams finished atop the standings at 16-2.

Bismarck High and Century split their regular season matchup. Bismarck owns the tiebreaker because of run differential. Bismarck High will be the No. 1 seed and Century the No. 2 seed for the next week’s West Region Tournament in Dickinson, which runs May 23-25.
