Class A Softball: Minot defeats Dickinson for first state title

Minot softball won its first-ever state title with a 4-2 win over Dickinson on Saturday.

Minot pitcher Marisa Andrysiak scattered five hits and two runs in a complete game effort that totaled 120 pitches. Andrysiak also drove in a run at the plate, with Landry Maragos and Rylee Terrel combining for the other three runs batted in.

In the third place game, Century fell to West Fargo Sheyenne 8-5.
