In Legion baseball, the Dickinson Roughriders find themselves in the same situation that the high school team faced this spring.
That is having to replace essentially an entire lineup. To make things more difficult, not all of Dickinson’s varsity players are playing Legion this summer, so head coach Stephen Greenwood will not have many older kids to draw from.
“We don’t have a big senior group,” Roughriders head coach Stephen Greenwood said. “I think we have only three upperclassmen. So we’re going to have a field full of 15 and 16 year olds. It’s one extreme to another, but I appreciate the kids that are out here and wanting to get better.”
The Riders will take on the Chiefs at Mandan Memorial tomorrow night. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 5:30.
