Class B State: Hillsboro-CV back in title game; Shiloh, Beulah play for fifth

The Hillsboro-Central Valley boys’ basketball team will play for their second straight state championship after their semifinal win in the Class B Boys’ State Tournament at the Bismarck Event Center on Mar. 16.

Hillsboro-CV defeated Carrington, 54-51. Last season, Hillsboro won the Class B crown on a buzzer beater. This year, they arrived as the No. 1 seed.

In the other semifinal, Bishop Ryan pulled away late from St. John. Bishop Ryan advanced to the championship game with a 67-60 win.

In the consolation bracket, Shiloh Christian earned their first win of the tournament. The Skyhawks defeated Wyndmere-Lidgerwood.

Shiloh will play Beulah for fifth place. The Miners picked up a 57-52 win over Stanley.
