In men’s college basketball, the all-state performers just keep trickling into the Capital City. The latest is Mott-Regent’s Cody Perkins.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged just under 22 points, nine rebounds and three assists a game during his senior season. Cody was voted the Region 7 Boys’ Basketball Senior Athlete of the Year. Last week, he was named to the Class B All-State Team.
Here’s Cody on what this means to him.
“It’ll be nice to be close to home,” Perkins said. “My dad is the head basketball coach at Mott-Regent, so it’ll be fun to go back and watch him coach. He can come up and they can watch our games. It’ll be a lot of fun.”
Cody will start in the fall and major in linework, which is related to electrical work. For BSC, this is their third All-Stater in as many days.
