The Bismarck Larks fell just shy of a win Saturday night, but they were not going to go through that again Sunday.
The Larks surrendered their 3-2 lead in the ninth inning via a Duluth solo home run, but Cooper Coldiron’s RBI single gave the Larks a walk-off victory at Municipal.
The Larks’ lead almost disappeared in the seventh inning. Reliever Trenton Stoltz came on in relief, inheriting the tying run that was sitting at third base. Stoltz stayed composed and produced a strikeout and groundout to strand the tying run.
Scooter Bynum came close to a solo home run in the eighth inning, but the catch was made just shy of the center field wall.
The team’s next game is at home on Monday against St. Cloud, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
