Coll FBall: UMary Special teams a special problem headed into Week 3

National Sports

UMary’s football kicking game has put the team behind the eight ball in back to back weeks.

The Problems started on the opening kickoff last weekend. The Marauders gave up a 100-yard return for a touchdown and after 15 minutes of action they were down 21-0.

There’s also another issue The offense racked up more than 300 yards, but just 10 points to show for their hard work.

“We have to do a better job of finishing drives with touchdowns,” head coach Josh Kotelnicki said. “We had some long drives last week, but then we would be one block or one misplay from kind of finishing the thing once we got across the other team’s [35 yard-line]”

UMary seeks their first win of the season Saturday at 1 p.m against the University of Sioux Falls.
